The Original “ Farm P “

After years of being on the sidelines, ‘Farm P’ has finally stepped into the ring to become an active participant in the soca music arena.

Originally from the borough of Point Fortin,  A place where the wild and varied cultured traditions of Trinidad & Tobago still exists and thrive, he gained a true appreciation for the grass roots expression of the culture. These influences have become the basis for his musical style and character.


 

 


 

 

While residing in Toronto, he has always been actively involved in the Trinidadian culture. In 2002, together with Mr  Terrance Wilson they founded the now world renowned “Farmers Rhythm Section”.


His first entry into the soca recording industry was in 2001. He produced and released the song “We Energy”. This garnered tremendous local  [Canadian]success, allowing him to be one of the first young, local artists to perform at large soca shows in Toronto. In 2004 he enjoyed further success with the critically acclaimed CD “Farming the Culture” which he   produced. 

This cd features the internationally successful song “Farmers Horn”. In 2005 he released “Horn Man” and in 2006 he released a video for his hit road single “Tan Tan.” Which also features the Farmer’s Rhythm Section.

Farm P has also gained further success by being the first Toronto artist to be nominated by the International Soca Awards Committee. In 2006 he was nominated for “Best New Soca Artist”.

For 2007 Farm P continues to gain momentum having released 2 new hits “O’ Baby” and “It’s Over”. Both songs were produced by the renown producer Mr. Junior “Ibo” Joseph.

His latest release is Chocolate Girls produced by Kerwin De Bois.
